| With
a love for animals, Bromsgrove was established, over 40
years ago by my father when I was only a small child.
Named after the birthplace of my mother (Bromsgrove, England),
it demonstrates the love and devotion our family has for
each other.
This love and devotion
is given to each one of our Ragdolls. None are taken
for granted and each cat’s temperament and special
needs are catered for by my daughter, Julie-Anne, who
is also our Animal Behaviour Management Therapist.
Bromsgrove has always
gone out of its way to ensure all our pets are treated
like members of the family, and Ragdolls are no exception.
With experience in breeding various animals including
Golden Retrievers, Poodles and Persians (not to mention
rabbits and mice), Bromsgrove is aware of the importance
for each Ragdoll to feel like part of the family. Only
then can they feel confident and free to breed and have
the same love and devotion towards their own kittens
as we do.
There
is no feeling like that special moment in the morning,
of waking up to your Ragdoll trying to rouse you just
before the alarm goes off, or cuddling up in front of
the television at night, surrounded by Ragdolls playing
or snuggling into you. Our Ragdolls get priority in
being greeted in the morning or on returning home in
the evening.
The Environment
we have developed for our Ragdolls is just divine. The
property was specifically chosen with them in mind;
situated in Sydney's leafy North Shore, on a vast quiet
block, disturbed only by the noise
of the birds. With nothing but trees and bush
for them to play and romp in, the hardest decision for
them to make is which tree to lie under during the day.
In
times of inclement weather, a large room has been specifically
set up within the house for the cats and kittens to
call their own. Set up like a retreat, they have their
own divan/bed, lounge chair, scratchy poles, kennel/dens
and rugs. They know they can go in there and not be
disturbed, to either rest or play. The room is climate
controlled to ensure they are warm in winter and remain
cool in summer. Our Ragdolls are lavished with all the
love and attention possible to ensure they are happy.
The
Health of our loved ones is of top priority
to us here at Bromsgrove. They are regularly checked
by our vet of over five years. He has a good understanding
and knowledge of each cat and kitten. Nothing is overlooked
and everything is treated; including regular vaccinations,
worming and dental checks.
The
Temperament and quality of each cat and kitten
is a result of the bloodlines we have chosen, the breeders
we originally got our kittens from, and the love, care
and attention given by each member of our family.
The
Kittens are raised in a loving, stress free
environment to ensure you are given every opportunity,
right from the start, to develop the bond and friendship
you both deserve. Julie-Anne spends hours with each
kitten to ensure she develops a good understanding of
their true personality, which in turn gives us the opportunity
to match the right kitten to the right family.
Besides
being house trained and accustomed to using kitty litter,
each kitten is vet checked and microchipped before going
to their new home. Although we understand your excitement,
we encourage you to wait until they are ready to leave
their mum before we finalise the adoption process. This
can be at eight weeks for some kittens and up to twelve
weeks for others, but it is normally, approximately,
ten weeks. Their vaccinations will be up to date according
to their age, and all paperwork and their individual
vet card will be provided when you collect your kitten,
or when it is delivered/flown to you.
Our
Guarantee starts as soon as you have chosen
your kitten and paid your deposit, as we want to ensure
you are happy with the new member of your family. You
will be emailed or posted regular photos as he or she
develops, and we will call him/her by name as soon as
you have chosen one. You
will be provided with our guarantee of health via a
contract outlining our responsibilities and how we can
help you and your kitten.
Price
is determined by the kitten itself. Although all our
kittens are from superior pedigree bloodlines, we can
often assist you with your needs and budget. Depending
on whether you have chosen your kitten as a pet (breed,
registration papers), a companion (see ‘Companion
Cats and Kittens’ for more details), or as
a show/breeding kitten (registered as a pedigree kitten
with Waratah Alliance), the price will vary. Please
see ‘Kittens and Prices’
for further details.
Feel free
to click onto any of the tabs and have a look. I am
sure you will fall in love with the Ragdoll as quickly
as we did.
